The Amer fort is about 7 miles away from the capital and the known pinkish city Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Amer fort is, as you can see in the sub-title, a famous tourist attraction for those who love history.
The Amber Palace is made up of royal palace, it is built with pale yellow and pink sandstone and white marble. The palace was divided into 4 sections. It was built in 1592 by Maharaja Man Singh - Rajput the commander of the Akbar's army. Later the construction was continued or extended by Jai Singhs before it (the capital) was moved to Jaipur. The fort or palace is surrounded by hills and stands on a rocky gorge. It was a political center in the 12th century and so on for 600 and more years.
Now lets go back into the history of the Amer fort. The Amer fort was located in the ex-capital Amer, which was a small place or town built by people called the Meenas. The Meenas built the town for Amba, the mother goddess. The Meenas was then massacred by the Rajputhans, the act of the massacre by the leader was known as an act of coward. After that event the Rajputhans rule over Amer and built the Amber Palace. And then after the rule of the Rajputhans, the Kachwahas rule over. They rule from the 11th century to the 16th century.
The fort have stood against all the rest of time and the invasions while the other old buildings were destroyed.
