MONTHLY UPDATE

The end of February has seen many school groups coming through the gates here to begin their term with a school camp and we are blessed to be able to share these grounds with them. Thankfully we were not heavily impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle and our prayers and thoughts go out to all the kiwi's that are dealing with the loss of their homes and more during this tragedy.

Looking forward, our registrations for Family Camps 2023-2024 are now open.

Registrations for our Easter Camp 2023 and Kids Camp also opened last month and Easter Camp filled up in only 2 days!

If you would like to register for Family Camp A or B, please click on the camp below. If you would like to sign up for the waitlist for our Autumn Kids Camp or Easter Camp you can email our team @ holidaycamps@totarasprings.org.nz

TS FAMILY NEWS

WELCOME: We would like to welcome Nadine Walker to our team here at Totara. Nadine has stepped in to the role of Finance and Admin Manager and we are thrilled to have her and her family here at camp!

VACANCIES:

SPRINGS INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

We are very excited to welcome and introduce our new interns for this year. Nina Whitaker and Tim Pettersen have newly joined our team alongside Luke Burton and Olivia McNamee, who joined us at the end of last year.

They have all jumped straight in, getting to know the different departments here at camp before they will be joining the ministry and instructing teams on a more permanent basis. Everyone started off their orientation at the Adventure Bible School lodge on Lake Karapiro. Over the first 2 weeks they went through a series of deep discovery-based experiences about themselves, Christian camping, and Tōtara Springs culture training. We are excited to see what God will do through each of them as they settle into their roles. Already they have helped to come up with an Easter themed top town for Easter camp, started on Kids camp decorations, and learnt how to process leader registrations.

We are very much looking forward to working with them throughout 2023!

WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING?

Our staff room has recently had a new TV screen mounted to the wall so that all our staff can view the program for the group that week and the rosters for activities and dishes. With this new addition, changes can be made smoothly and it also helps us to significantly cut down on our paper usage. Yay!
