Big picture

From our School Nurse, Mrs. Calles

Parents,

It is so good to see the students following school guidelines. They are doing a wonderful job distancing in the hallways and wearing their face cover appropriately.

Please make sure they pack their face mask in their backpack the night before to assure they have it as they walk into the campus the next morning.

Our drinking areas (water fountains) remain closed as a precaution against COVID, therefore I ask you to please remember to send one or two bottles of water for your child every day. Staying hydrated is very important.

Message from Ms. McCabe, Counselor

The character trait for the month of November is Fairness. Students will learn about justice and freedom from prejudice. All students will sign the "No Place for Hate" pledge to show that Sam Houston stands together against bullying.

Message from Mrs. Tovar, Librarian

If you are a virtual student, Mrs. Tovar continues to do book curbside pickup on Thursdays from 3:45-4:30. You may come during this time to checkout library books and/or return them.

Let's continue to read every day!

Technology Corner

GPISD is now a 1-1 district! This means all students have or will have a Chromebook checked out to them. A loan agreement must be completed prior to checking one out. If your child has not received their Chromebook, please contact Mrs. Macias at our school at 832-386-4430.

Please check out our Technology page to find support for remote learning.
