Pasco County Schools & COVID-19
Hello Wildcat families!
Welcome to the second quarter of the 2021-2022 school year! We made it!
Your students report card for quarter 2 and semester 1 will be available in myStudent starting Tuesday, January 11th. I highly encourage you to review your students progress thus far. Students in middle school have certain promotion requirements they must meet in order to be promoted to high school.
To be promoted to high school, all middle school students must successfully complete the following:
- Grade 6 Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies
- Grade 7 Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies
- Grade 8 Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.
- One course in career and education planning to be completed in grades 6, 7, or 8 is required for promotion.
- One of the social studies courses must be Civics. There is a statewide, standardized end-of-course exam for Civics that must be taken and factored in as 30% of a student’s course grade.
- One semester of physical education per year is required.
- Students in grade 6 will be required to take one semester of M/J Health GR 6.

8th grade Gradventure
The first required payment for Gradventure is due this Wednesday, 1/12/22, by midnight. This required payment is $45 - paid online through your RYCOR account. This is a non-refundable fee. We will pull a list of students on Thursday, 1/13/22, and refund anyone that has paid that became ineligible due to behavior and/or grades. Please make sure both permission slips are turned in by Wednesday, 1/12/22, as well. It's very important that parents read over the information and sign the 2 forms. The forms can be found on our school website (https://tewms.pasco.k12.fl.us/) under the RED BUTTON labeled: "8th Grade EOY!". If you don't have a way to print the forms, please have your student pick them up in the back office and bring home to you. Again, these two forms are both due on or before Wednesday, 1/12/22.
If you do not have a RYCOR account, you can log onto our school website, go all the way to the bottom and click on "Pay Student Fees." From there it will walk you through how to set up an account.
