Principals Message

Hello Wildcat families!

Welcome to the second quarter of the 2021-2022 school year! We made it!

Your students report card for quarter 2 and semester 1 will be available in myStudent starting Tuesday, January 11th. I highly encourage you to review your students progress thus far. Students in middle school have certain promotion requirements they must meet in order to be promoted to high school.

To be promoted to high school, all middle school students must successfully complete the following:

  • Grade 6 Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies
  • Grade 7 Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies
  • Grade 8 Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.
  • One course in career and education planning to be completed in grades 6, 7, or 8 is required for promotion.
  • One of the social studies courses must be Civics. There is a statewide, standardized end-of-course exam for Civics that must be taken and factored in as 30% of a student’s course grade.
  • One semester of physical education per year is required.
  • Students in grade 6 will be required to take one semester of M/J Health GR 6.
*Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies courses must have a minimum of a 60% D recorded on a students academic history

Updated information related to COVID-19

As we see the number of COVID cases increase in our community, please make sure you are reviewing the student self-screen for symptoms: We ask this in order to protect the health and safety of employees, staff, and students, all those who access Pasco County School locations must self-screen for symptoms and other risk factors of COVID-19 daily. If you answer YES to any of the questions, you should NOT be on a school campus or school district office.

In addition, Pasco County schools has updated protocols related to COVID-19:

The Learning from Home Resource site is still available to support students and families in continuing learning while they may be away from school. When a student enters isolation they will be able to access learning materials connected to current lessons while at home via myPascoConnect and myLearning. Schools will also use hybrid instructional methods to support the learning at home. Secondary students may also access Smart Tutoring, an online tutoring service within their myLearning courses. Parents and students can contact teachers directly to receive the most accurate instructions on accessing coursework.

Yearbooks are on sale now!

The 2021-2022 TEWMS yearbook is only $42.00. It can be purchased through your Student Quick Pay account ( Buy online from now until January 31st, 2022. No extra yearbooks are available for purchase at the end of the school year. All yearbook must be pre-ordered.

TEWMS Talent Show

The 31st Annual TEWMS Talent Show will occur on Thursday, January 27 during the school day. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, January 24 for $5.00. A video showcasing our talented competitors will be posted on the TEWMS Facebook page a few days after rehearsals on January 18. Tickets will be limited, so look for information on how to purchase them which will be posted with the video . Don’t miss the opportunity for your student to see this amazing show!

TEWMS Beautification project

We are wanting to work on the beautification of our campus. If you are willing and able to help out, please contact Mrs. Goitia: We are in the process of developing a plan to work on various aspects of our campus.

8th grade Gradventure

The first required payment for Gradventure is due this Wednesday, 1/12/22, by midnight. This required payment is $45 - paid online through your RYCOR account. This is a non-refundable fee. We will pull a list of students on Thursday, 1/13/22, and refund anyone that has paid that became ineligible due to behavior and/or grades. Please make sure both permission slips are turned in by Wednesday, 1/12/22, as well. It's very important that parents read over the information and sign the 2 forms. The forms can be found on our school website ( under the RED BUTTON labeled: "8th Grade EOY!". If you don't have a way to print the forms, please have your student pick them up in the back office and bring home to you. Again, these two forms are both due on or before Wednesday, 1/12/22.

If you do not have a RYCOR account, you can log onto our school website, go all the way to the bottom and click on "Pay Student Fees." From there it will walk you through how to set up an account. The 8th grade End-of-Year information is on this RYCOR site. Once you create an account, you should be able to pay the first, required payment. Beginning 1/14/22, you will have to option to pay the remaining portion.

1st Semester Honor Roll @ TEWMS

Honor roll status is recognized and celebrated on a semester basis. We recognize three categories of honor roll status, Straight A Honor Roll, A/B Honor Roll, Honor Roll (students must have a minimum of six grades to be eligible).

This year our Honor Roll Ceremony will be February 4th, 2022 at the Wesley Chapel HS Preforming Arts center. Our 6th grade students will be celebrated from 9:00-9:45am and our 7th and 8th students from 10:15-11:00am.

Honor Roll invitations will be sent out on January 21st.

Opportunity Hall @ TEWMS

Opportunity Hall, which is an afterschool tutoring program will meet on Thursdays from 2:30 to 4:00pm. New to Opportunity Hall this year will be support in organization and study skills. During Opportunity Hall TEWMS will have teacher volunteers and some student peer tutors to provide as much individualized assistance as possible. Opportunity Hall is open to ALL Wildcat students. The program does require students to be picked up by 4:00 PM. If you have any questions, please contact Heather Eads at

TEWMS' Opportunity Hall will run from September 8th to April 1st on Thursdays.

Early Release Day(s)

This is the third year Pasco County Schools is utilizing a monthly, two-hour-early release time to allow for staff to engage in professional development aligned with student needs and district and school priorities. ​Why?

  • For students - increase in effective instruction and decrease in learning disruption on substitute days.
  • For staff - increased opportunity to learn and grow built in to the work schedule​.
  • For stakeholders - predictable schedule, fewer substitutes, higher quality, and more engaged staff. ​

Early release days will take place on the following dates

  • January 12, 2022
  • February 2, 2022
  • March 9, 2022
  • April 13, 2022

On each of the early release days, students will be released two hours early. The bell times, including the early release times for each school, can be found here.

Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation, Opening August 2022

The new Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation will deliver an advanced career and technical education that fosters career awareness, cross-disciplinary work, and creates a vibrant culture that values every individual as a contributing member of the global community. Students will achieve academic success, develop career goals, and prepare for future employment through project based learning and relevant exposure to entrepreneurial experiences. All students will graduate with industry certification, giving them access to high-wage, high-skill employment right out of high school.
