The TIGER Times
Yamhill Carlton High School
Week of November 26 - December 1
We hope your family enjoyed the long Thanksgiving break.
You should have received mid-term reports regarding your student's current progress in his/her classes. This is a good checkpoint prior to the end of the semester where grades are entered onto the high school transcript.
In case you feel your student needs additional support and/or time to work at school, see below:
On Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays, all students have 30 minutes of Advisory time where they are encouraged to access their teachers if they have questions or need additional time to complete classwork.
In addition, most teachers are available before and after school for extra support.
Freshmen who have "Fresh Success" can use a portion of the class period to work on classwork and get additional help on homework.
With the block schedule, it is best if students work on homework the same night they have a class. If they have questions, they still have another day to check in with their teacher to receive help before the assignment is due.
We encourage you to continue to monitor your student's proficiency work through your student's Jump Rope account.
I also encourage you to reach out to your student's teacher if you have questions about helping your student.
Have a great week.
