Meet Ms. Almgren-Our School Library Media Specialist
My name is Maggie Almgren, and I am the Library Media Specialist at Fordham! Before becoming the librarian, I was a teacher in Marion County, teaching kindergarten and first grade for the last seven years. I grew up right down the road from our school. I graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators!).
I love hanging out with our students in the library and around the school. Sharing my love of books and learning has become my favorite part of my job. Reading strengthens learners by building background knowledge and encouraging creative thought.
When I don't have my nose in a good book, I enjoy crafting, going to Disney World, riding my horses with my mom, and hanging out with my dog, Kylo.
Thank you for the opportunity to build relationships and teach your children.
