January 22, 2021
Note from the Pastor
Dear Pittsford Community Church Family,
Communication. It’s the key to successful marriages. It’s also important for the health of the church. We try to make every effort to communicate with you effectively. Our weekly Connect is central to this goal. Thanks for reading and for clicking on the tiles that have even more information about events and ministries. This Sunday (12:15) we’re holding a Town Hall Meeting for those interested in learning more about the proposals, officers, and budgets that we vote on during our official Congregational Meeting on Sunday, January 31 (6:00 pm). In this week’s Connect you’ll see the details. Thanks for reading, and thanks for praying!
P.S.— Take a moment to listen to this week’s Pastoral Visit video about a worrying about time.

Town Hall Meeting— Sunday, January 24, 12:15 pm, join an informal meeting to preview the items relating to our Congregational Meeting (proposals, budgets, and officers). https://pittsfordcc.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/704435
Our annual Congregational Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, January 31, 6:00 pm (both live and virtual). Please set that time aside as we discern together God’s direction for our Ministry Budget, Missions Budget, elected officers, and our vision for 2021.
Sabbatical Proposal—At our annual Congregational Meeting we’re proposing a three-month Sabbatical for Pastor Chris Arcadi (May-July, 2021) to allow him time to refresh his heart in anticipation of his growing leadership role in 2022. Details are available in the Congregational Meeting information pages.
Our Spanish Language Service ...

Change in Electronic Giving Method
We want to remind ourselves that, for everyone’s safety and in compliance with state guidelines, those who attend services and small groups in person at PCC should wear masks and maintain six-foot social distancing between families. Masks must be worn during class times and during services (except when the congregation is seated for the sermon).
ROAD TO MEMBERSHIP
Our newest 12-week membership class will be held on Sunday mornings, 10:00-11:00, via Zoom beginning February 14. David and Carlene Huang will lead you through basic spiritual formation, the church’s mission, and the steps to membership. Register online at www.pittsfordcc.org and you’ll receive a link to the class, as well as class notes. Membership is like joining a family. Why not join this year?
Baby Bottle Boomerang for Care Net of Wayne County
This is a perfect opportunity to model and teach giving to your family members. Pick up a baby bottle, and take it to your Sunday School class, home, or wherever you can place it for this ministry. Over the next several weeks fill it with your spare change (green bills and checks are accepted). Bring your bottles back to PCC (hence the boomerang) no later than March 28th. May God bless you as you take a stand for life! If questions/concerns, contact CareNet: 1141 E. Union St., Newark; 315-573-7833 or email@example.com
Red Cross Blood Drive - PCC is reaching out to see if any church member/attender might be interested in sponsoring two blood drives this spring here at PCC. The Red Cross would like to hold them here possibly on April 16th and June 24th. Blood drives continue to cancel through the winter and spring and every blood drive will help to maintain our national blood supply. If interested, please contact the church office and they will give you details (248-8260).
This January, we are becoming everyday missionaries through the practical sharing of food with neighbors, and heartfelt written words of encouragement and appreciation to those we interact with regularly. Find out more about how to better engage the community around you with the love of God by clicking the Missions Link. We are also looking for PCCer’s to share their stories about how they have engaged in Outreach and MI throughout the past year.
