Renewing people through Christ and the gospel

Pastor's Weekly Visit

Salt and Light. Two great images of what it means to be a Christian in our world. As salt, we influence society. As light, we illuminate the world. So, how well are we serving as salt and light? It’s too easy for us to let the world influence US instead of us influencing the world. It’s too easy to hide our light instead of shining brightly. So, let’s change that equation and, through our demeanor, deeds, and words, be salt and light for Jesus. You can do it! I can do it! With God’s help. - Pastor Dana

COR - August/September

If you have any items that you took a card for to give to our families, please bring them in this Sunday. We are still in need of a couple of used/refurbished laptops. Also, the family with four children needs a BUNK BED. Anyone have one lying around? Let us know!

THANK YOU to everyone who has donated so far! The families came in this week to try on the items. Anything not usable by them is going to ROC Family Mission. Please pray for work and for childcare for the Ahmad family! If you have any questions, contact Robynlyn at 973-652-3878.

Men's Ministry Cook-Off

Join us for our Men's Ministry launch on September 30th! This event is open to all men, fathers and sons. Feel free to invite a friend as well. Bring your best dish to be judged by your peers. The winner will receive a prize worthy of their domination!

There will be grills on site that can be made available beforehand for you to use. Let us know that you would like to use a grill when you register for this event. Plan to have food ready to eat at 4:30pm.

Come prepared to eat and compete with your fellow man!

Meet our Missionary Speaker

Our keynote speaker for our Missions Celebration weekend (October 13-15) is Paul Ewing. Paul and his wife Melissa Ewing are North American Baptist Conference Missionaries to Japan. Appointed in 1999, they arrived on the field in 2001, first attending language school in Nagano Prefecture and then moving to Osaka where they have served since 2003. Paul was associate pastor of a church, then lead pastored that church, before planting the Komyo Christian Church in 2009. The Komyo Church was fully turned over to national leadership in 2022 when Paul and Melissa returned to the USA for home assignment. Paul has also served as the Japan Field Director since 2010. The Ewing’s have three grown sons, Noah (Joy) 24, Jonah 22, and Elijah 18.
