Creating fully-formed followers of Jesus Christ!

March 5, 2021

Pastor's Weekly Visit

Dear Pittsford Community Church Family,

Want to join the family? Becoming an official member of Pittsford Community Church is your next step. Our “Road to Membership” class begins via Zoom on Sunday, March 14. Check below for the link so you can register, grow, and become a fully engaged part of the family. To our current members, thanks for being a part of this great family and keep praying for God’s blessing as we help ordinary people become fully formed followers of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Dana

P.S.— Take a moment to listen to this week’s Pastoral Visit video on Jesus’ return.

Safety First

We want to remind ourselves that, for everyone’s safety and in compliance with state guidelines, those who attend services and small groups in person at PCC should wear masks and maintain six-foot social distancing between families. Masks must be worn during class times and during services (except when the congregation is seated for the sermon).

Community Outreach - MARCH - Easter Egg Hunt In a Box

Easter is just around the corner, and this March we have a NEW family friendly missional initiative. BUT you don't need to have a family to facilitate this event. We are offering an Easter Egg Hunt in A Box, ready for your own neighborhood outreach! All needed materials will be provided. To get a Box, sign up via email at Pittsfordccoutreach@gmail.com or at the church table. Boxes can be picked up at the tables either Sunday 3/14 or 3/21. More details are on the Missions Tile above or Special Event tile. Contact Elaine Pragle or Robynlyn Ketchum at Pittsfordccoutreach@gmail.com for questions or concerns.

Our newest 12-week membership class will be held on Sunday mornings, 10:00-11:00, via Zoom starting March 14th. There’s still time to sign up. David and Carlene Huang will lead you through basic spiritual formation, the church’s mission, and the steps to membership. Register online at www.pittsfordcc.org and you’ll receive a link to the class, as well as class notes. Membership is like joining a family. Why not join this year?

Ministry Opportunities and Needs

Denise Johnson’s son and daughter-in-law are facing a major challenge this month. Ashley is on bed rest until a scheduled C-section on March 16. They have a 2 year old and a 4 year old. Please help them out with meals during this time by signing up here: https://mealtrain.com/720yl1

Love one another: We are still looking for some individuals [adult, older teens] or couples who would be willing and able to love on our young mothers, families and littlest attendees. How? We will be opening our nursery during 2nd service this month (March). If you would be willing to offer some TLC to our babies and toddlers so our young families can attend services and enjoy, please shoot a text [520-9756] or email [epragle@pittsfordcc.org] to Elaine Pragle.

Heads up! Our preschool children's church [age 2-5 y.o.] will be opening in March! If you have a child whom you would like to attend, please text message Elaine Pragle [520-9756] or email [epragle@pittsfordcc.org] letting her know the name and age of your child so she can be sure our preschool children's church is well staffed. Thanks.

Weekly Women's Bible Studies...happening in March and beyond

Check out the Women's Bible Studies taking place weekly via ZOOM on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday -- details by clicking on the "Women Together" newsletter tile above or on the church website (www.pittsfordcc.org).

Save the Date!

Let's celebrate together at our 2021 Missions Celebration Weekend October 1st - 3rd. God is at work around the world through PCC.

Baby Bottle Boomerang for Care Net of Wayne County

Pick up a baby bottle at the hallway display. Over the next couple weeks fill your bottle with your spare change (green bills and checks are accepted). Bring your bottles back to PCC no later than March 28th.

Thank you so much for your part in the mission to encourage women to carry their babies to term, and for families to gain positive parenting skills and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Come for a tour at the Center if you are in the neighborhood, at 1141 E. Union in Newark.
