Welcome to Kindergarten!

Oasis Elementary South

Dear New Panthers,

We are so excited to welcome you to our Oasis Elementary South family and are looking forward to getting to know your family.

Since we are unable to have an Orientation for our new families and a placement screening for new Kindergarten students, we have made adjustments to our procedures. Our forms are now electronic and can be found below. Please note, if you are requesting bus transportation, be sure to complete the bus form by June 15th. Although we will not be doing placement screenings, each teacher will be providing remediation as well as enrichment to meet the individual needs of all of our students.

Our system is working together to be prepared for any guidelines issued from the CDC, State of Florida, and the School District of Lee County, regarding the safest way to start school in August. We will keep you informed as we get new information.

Also, watch for future communication with any other updates. Be sure to check our web site frequently. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at MaryBeth.Grecsek@capecharterschools.org

The Oasis Elementary South staff is committed to making your child's transition to Kindergarten a positive experience.

A member of our committee will contact you this summer to welcome you and answer any questions that you may have.

Preparing for the 2020-2021 School Year

Parents must complete a separate form for each child in their family requesting transportation. Open House and 2020-2021 Calendar

Open House for OES will be Thursday, August 6th, from 5:00-7:00 PM. A more detailed schedule, broken down by grade level times, will be provided over the summer.

The 2020-2021 School calendar is available to view.

Uniforms and Dress Code

If you would like to purchase uniforms for next year, please visit this link to our Dress Code and our vendors. You will also have the option of purchasing shirts at Open House.

Clinic Forms

If your child has medical issues, please complete the Medical Health Statement and return to school. If your child will need to take medication while at school, please complete the Medical Administration form and return to school. Medication forms must be completed and turned in yearly.

It would be very helpful, if these forms were printed, completed, and returned on the June 4th/5th Exchange Day. For more Clinic information, please visit our Clinic Forms page.

Volunteer Forms

This year, we created an electronic Volunteer Form. Please complete a new form for the 2020-2021 school year. Volunteers will not be allowed on campus without a current, cleared Volunteer Form on file.

School Supplies

Here is a link to our School Supplies list. PTO will also be selling a packaged option for school supplies.

S.T.E.M.

S.T.E.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Starting in the 2020-2021 school year, our K-12 system is implementing a S.T.E.M. initiative. The first year, the primary focus will be at OMS. However, we will be implementing some S.T.E.M. initiatives at OES, as well. To help us get started, OES will create a S.T.E.M. committee to help guide us, provide information, and communicate the action we are taking. This committee will meet once a quarter. If you would like to be a part of the OES S.T.E.M. committee, please complete this form by June 15th, and you will be advised of our first meeting.
