A little about me...
I was born in Clifton Forge, VA and have two siblings. I have always enjoyed being outdoors, even from an early age. One of my favorite childhood memories was going native trout fishing in West Virginia with my grandfather, and I continue to hunt, fish, and camp whenever I can as an adult.
What did you want to be when you grew up? Game Warden (now called a Conservation Police Officer)
Unique skill or talent: I used to play the alto and baritone saxophone
Hobbies/Interests: Hunting, Fishing, and Camping
My wife, Jessica, and I have been married for 17 years. My son, Andrew, is 25 and works for a TV station in Bristol, VA. My daughter, Emily, is 23 and works as a nurse at UVA. Our youngest daughter, Katie, is 16 and a sophomore in high school. We also have four-legged members of the family, our dogs Dexter and Snickers. One of our family traditions is playing cards together.
A little about my education...
Elementary School: Boiling Spring
My elementary school closed just a few years ago, but our mascot was the Bobcat.
Middle & High School: Alleghany
Go Mountaineers! When I went to school, there wasn't a middle school. Secondary grades all went to Alleghany High School. Things have changed! I participated in football, FFA, and band. Math was my favorite subject, and Mr. Snead was my favorite teacher. He taught 7th grade math.
College: Virginia Tech
I attended Virginia Tech and majored in Business Finance. Go Hokies! I also participated in intramural softball.

I became a UVA Cavalier and earned a Masters in Educational Administration.
