Our Tenth Week
This week, we learned all about Nature. We discussed things we find in Nature and things that are not nature. We read the story, Nature Spy. We used the app, Sketches to draw settings from the story. We learned the letters T, U and V. We have been writing words using the beginning and ending sounds of words. Our sight words this week were "at", "went", and "is". We wrote many sentences using the sight words. In Math, we reviewed strategies to help us learn how to solve addition problems. In STEM, we put the final touches on our Keynote presentations about Habitats and we presented our Keynote to the class. We also finished our video and the decorating of the boxes for Treats for Troops
Next week, the letters we will learn are "W" and "X". The sight words will be "my", "like" and "we". We will learn about animal babies using the apps, Poplet and Keynote. In Math, we will begin learning strategies for subtraction. In STEM, we will begin focusing on how plants, animals, and humans can impact their environment. We will also be able to identify if the impact is good or bad for the environment.
