Week at a Glance
Week of September 4th
Happy First Week of School!
I must say that pre-service went very smooth. I am thankful for the opportunities for fellowship during breakfast and our potluck. I am most thankful for the warm reception to classroom meetings. I cannot wait to see how we transform our school. Your dedication to our students is invaluable. Thank you for being present, active, and supportive of all staff members.

Bulletin Boards!!! Were AMAZING!!!
You exceeded our expectations in regards to the bulletin boards! Each team did an amazing job. The winner was.... 3rd Grade! We had a parent come and do the judging while you were out at training. 3rd grade- let me know if you want Panera or Chick Fil-A!
The expectation is that you change your boards once per quarter.
Remember new registers start the same day!

We need a safety team!!
Some of the things we want to discuss as a safety team is:
* Writing procedures for drills and emergencies so they are standardized to include ones for subs as well.
* Reviewing signs throughout the building for fire exits, maps, directions, etc...
* Creating an online Bully Protocol form instead of the paper version.
* Ideas the team comes up with!
The team would meet a few times at the beginning of the year and then about once or twice per quarter. Please add your name to this spreadsheet if you want to be on the team! Choose the second tab and scroll to the right (column M).

Burbank rocks the "In My Feelings" Challenge!
Mrs. Lewis Smith and I had fun getting to know each other by writing the lyrics, recording in a studio (yes I sang- if you want to call it that!) and then shooting the video. Make this thing go viral by sharing it on FaceBook! We want everyone to know that Burbank is always down for learning!!!
