Maverick Minutes

April 4, 2016

Time is flying by so quickly! Just 8.5 weeks left and they will surely go by so fast! Be sure to make the very most of every moment. Choose activities that keep your students loving learning and engaged in learning at the highest level. Now is not the time for a bunch of worksheets to fill time. Now is the time to make memories and solidify what you are teaching with real experiences!

Be sure to read an email I sent on Saturday, 4/2 regarding behavior and recess.

Thank you for the card and beautiful flowers in memory of my grandmother! She lived a full life and was ready to go. I appreciate your prayers for our family!

Something has snuck up on me that will require your attention this week... the teacher self-report is due by 4/15. Please look at this link beginning on page 35 to give you an idea of what we are looking for when we read your self-report. Be sure to include information in your self-report that informs us about specific things you have done this year to 1)communicate effectively with your parents; 2)use your professional development to make changes to your class; 3) intervene for your students to reteach and extend learning; 4) above and beyond things you have done to address attendance concerns.
