St. Columba's Primary School
NEWSLETTER | TERM 4, WEEK 1 | 17 OCTOBER 2019
"Trust in God who helps you in all things."
St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop
From the Principal
Dear Parents and Carers
I would like to welcome everyone back from the school holidays. I trust everyone had a restful break. Welcome also our new families who have children commence schooling at St Columba's. I am sure that they will be made welcome by our existing families.
Many thanks to Mrs Komnick for looking after St Columba's while I was in Europe on study leave and long service. I would also like to take the opportunity to congratulate Mrs Komnick on being appointed as Principal to Our Lady of Mercy Primary School from January 2020. I know that Mrs Komnick will be very much missed by our school community, however, she is extremely deserving of the appointment and I know that she will do a wonderful job. She will also be a great asset to the Catholic Principals of WA.
My study leave in Belgium was a very enlightening experience. We looked at how we continue to maintain our Catholic identity in schools in a very much secularised society. There will be some changes occurring from 2020 and these will be outlined to families at the start of 2020.
May God Bless you and your family.

We also have limited places in other select year groups for next year.
