Magnetic Fields
By: Casandra
Definition:
A region around a magnetic material or a moving electric charge within which the force of magnetism acts.
What is the magnetic field?
Examples of magnetic fields:

Electromagnet soldered to a circuit board.
A horse shoe magnet with north and south poles labeled.
Bar magnet with iron fillings.
There are a lot of experiments on magnetic fields. Either a magnet is placed under glass or a sheet of paper and iron is sprinkled over the top. The magnetic field pushes on the iron, forcing them to become patterns which curve around the magnet until they point in the same direction as the magnetic field.
