Blaming others for their problems and feelings
when the victim of a crime, an accident, or any type of abusive maltreatment is held entirely or partially responsible for the transgressions committed against him or her (regardless of whether the victim actually had any responsibility for the incident)
ARGUING BACK AND FORTH
This can happen when the abuser blames the victim for all of their problems or things that they are doing wrong.
FIGHTING
Fights can occur when the abuser blames they victim for doing something that they did not do
CAN LEAD TO A SERIOUS LEVEL
The abuser may be put into jail or get in serious trouble if he or she starts to blame the victim more and more that it gets to an unsafe level

- The abuser may say that he or she was asking for it
- To try and stop victim blaming try to find out why the abuser is blaming you
- Don't agree with the abuser if he or she is saying why they hurt you
- Don't let the victim keep on making excuses for their actions
- If the abuser did something wrong to you but they don't want to admit it they might say something like "well you shouldn't have come here anyway"
