Blanche Dodd Intermediate Mission Statement
It is our mission to educate each child through the use of quality instruction and positive relationships. We will strive to motivate each student to discover their unlimited potential and have a positive impact on their community.
Message from our Principal
Greetings Bobcat Families!
We've had a great start to the 2018-2019 school year! What a delight it was to see and meet so many Dodd families at our annual Meet the Teacher Night in August. It was equally impressive to have so many parents join us for our annual Parent Orientation Evenings!
We are super excited to initiate the House System this year. Our school has been divided into six houses that consist of staff members and students from both fourth and fifth grade. Together, each house competes for points based on good citizenship, grades, attendance, and other competitions as announced. Check out the section in this newsletter for more House details.
The Blanche Dodd Bobcat News will be published monthly on our school website and emailed to all parents via the email address we have on file. In addition, it will be uploaded to our social media sites. I hope you find it to be a useful tool in knowing what's happening in your child's school.
Communication between the school and home is highly important to each of us. Please take a look at this month's newsletter article for ways to be connected.
Wishing you a successful September!

Blanche Dodd Intermediate School Parent Drop Off & Pick Up Safety Procedures
Enter the drop off/pick up lane via Bobcat Drive. Do not drive through or park in the bus route area (in front of the school) during the hours of 7:15-8:15 AM and 2:30-3:45 PM. School dismissal time is 3:20 PM. Students should be picked up no later than 3:40PM. After 3:40 you must come into the office and sign your child out.
Do not attempt to pass other cars in line – students may be getting in or out of the vehicle in front of you. The crosswalk should stay clear of vehicles at all times. Please do not stop on the crosswalk.
Cell phone usage is not allowed in school zones. All students walking across the parking lot during pick up and drop off times must use the crosswalk and be escorted by an adult. Thank you for doing your part to help us keep your children safe!
