Upper School - Summer Check In

For the Week of 6/8/2020

Summer Reading

Eagle Nation,

As we begin summer vacation after a difficult and complicated 4th quarter, the concept of Summer Reading is more important this break than in the past, in my opinion. While the assignments and projects have been adjusted, focused reading and critically thinking will be incredibly important to maintain your learning throughout the summer. Please note the buttons below. All students have some reading and active journalling to complete, and if you have signed up for Engineering and/or AP Chemistry, please note those expectations below. These are not meant to be busy work or overwhelming, but they are meant to extend and enrich some of the learning we lost during the quarantine. Please reach out to the Upper School office should you have any questions and enjoy the next two months away. I know I speak for our teachers when I say we are already excited to see you on campus next fall!

Graduation at Dr Pepper Stadium

Prince of Peace is excited to announce the graduation ceremony for the resilient class of 2020 will be held at Dr. Pepper Stadium in Frisco, Texas at 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 13. We are preparing information to go out next week to our greater POPCS community sharing some of the guidelines and protocols set in place to ensure the safest graduation ceremony we can that is in alignment with Governor Abbot's executive order surrounding graduation ceremonies held outdoors. Additionally, the graduation ceremony will be live-streamed on the POPCS YouTube page in case you would prefer to enjoy it from the comfort of your home. So, please save the date and look for announcements via email and social media next week. Go Eagles!
