Principal's Corner: Thank you Ms. Levin!

Ms. Levin, our school office administrative assistant, will be starting a new position at the district office this summer working in the Learning and Innovation department. Ms. Levin first started at Guadalupe as a parent and saw her two girls move on to Dartmouth and Leigh High School. She has faithfully served the Guadalupe community as our school office administrative assistant for the past 4 years and will be dearly missed. We wish her luck in her new position.

We need Safety Patrol Volunteers for Next Year!

We'd like to extend a HUGE thank you to the Safety Patrol parents and students that have faithfully been out front before and after school helping keep everyone safe during drop off and pick up. Please let them know how much you appreciate them in these last couple weeks.

Safety Patrol is 100% volunteer run and we need more students and parents interested in helping out. Third and Fourth grade students will be invited to an informational meeting on Thursday, June 1st at lunch to find out more about joining Safety Patrol.

We cannot run this program without parent support. Would you consider committing to a morning or afternoon, once a week, to help keep our students and families safe? We need 10 families to step up otherwise we may be without Safety Patrol next year.

Students who attend the informational meeting will come home with an interest form. Please consider serving in this valuable role!

Class Placement Letters in August

This past August, class assignments were released to families using our PowerSchool system. Information was mailed home to families during the summer about how and when to log in to the system and see your child’s teacher. We will be using the same process this year.

Letters will be mailed home by August 9th. In the letter, will be directions on how to access your PowerSchool account and when you will be able to view your child’s class placement. Class information will be posted in PowerSchool at 4:00 PM on August 15th.

We will NOT be posting classes on the cafeteria windows for privacy and security reasons. The only way you will be able to access your child’s placement will be through the PowerSchool system.

Thank you Volunteers

Thank you to each and every one of you that gave your time, money, and talents to make Guadalupe the best school this year. The Volunteer Tea reception is being jointly organized by the teachers and the Home and School Club. It is scheduled for June 2nd in the Media center starting at 7:30 AM. Please stop by for a morning snack as a small token of our appreciation.

Lost and Found

Don’t leave for the summer without checking the Lost and Found at the front of the school for any missing jackets, sweatshirts, lunch boxes or other items. All items will be donated over the summer if they are not claimed.

Best Wishes to 5th Graders

I want to wish all 5th graders good luck as they head off to middle school this summer. I know they will make us proud. I would also like to recognize those families of 5th graders who will be leaving Guadalupe. Thank you for your time, dedication, and support over all of these years. Elementary school is such a special time and it is our hope that your family has made lasting memories.
