Grade 1 Field Trip--Lake FarmPark

A Note from the Principal

Dear SPB Families,

The excitement has been building this week as more rides, food trucks, and game booths appear in our parking lot each day! Our Spring Fling Festival kicks off today with our Family Night from 5:00-10:00 p.m. You don't want to miss the SPB School Band Concert this evening at 7:00 p.m. and enjoy discounted rides, food, and beverages. Take a look at the Schedule of Events.

In planning for next school year, we do have some positions to fill and some changes in others. Mrs. Laura Yanick, first grade teacher, and Ms. Mellissa Zaffiro, fifth grade teacher, have decided not to return to Saint Paschal Baylon. They have both decided to explore other opportunities outside of education. We certainly appreciate their years of service and dedication to our school and students and wish them all the best next year!

Mrs. Moira Popelka, our current sixth grade teacher, will return to teaching fourth grade as well as fifth grade. There will be a familiar face in the older grades as we return to having two eighth grade classes once again. Mrs. Beth Detzel will join our faculty as the seventh and eighth grade Language Arts teacher. Mrs. Detzel and her family have been part of SPB for many years, and we look forward to having her at the middle school level. We are in the process of searching and interviewing for the first and sixth grade positions.

There is also some movement in our preschool. Mrs. Diana McAndrew, current Early Learners aide, will move into the role of our Auxiliary Clerk taking over for Mrs. Mary Becker. Mrs. Kristie Mack, our current Half Day PreK teacher, will become Mrs. Collins' aide. Mrs. Katie Klick, our current Full Day PreK teacher, will move to the Half Day PreK teaching position. I am happy to share that Mrs. Sarah Link, current preschool aide, will move into the role of Full Day PreK teacher. While there is movement, we are happy that these teachers are staying on with us in different roles.

As we look forward to next year, we are excited to share that our enrollment for next year as of right now shows a 7% increase. We will welcome 18 new students in grades 1-8, and our kindergarten class is the largest in 10 years.

See you this weekend at Spring Fling!

Peace and blessings,

Diane Raguz, Principal
