Re-Checking Books Out

Students, if you aren't finished with a book at the end of your 3-week loan period, bring it in to the Library and ask one of our Library staff members to re-check it for you! Then you'll be able to keep it for another 3 weeks without getting any of those pesky overdue emails from Ms. Daves!

Getting You the Books that You Want

Students! Have you ever tried to find a book, only to learn that it is currently checked out? Be next in line to check out the book by putting it on Hold. You can put books on Hold by asking the Library staff to do so for you or by logging into Destiny and placing the Hold yourself. (username: lastname_studentID# / password: birthday YYYYMMDD)

We can also borrow books from other campuses if HMS doesn't have the book you want. Speak to the Library staff today about getting you the books you want to read!

Fall Poetry Contest

Hey students, do you write poetry?

If so, enter this poetry contest for the chance of getting your poetry published!

To enter, click here and submit your poem. Please select Jacqui Daves as your teacher when you are filling out the information about yourself.

If you would rather have Ms. Daves submit your poem, send her an email! Be sure to include your poem title in the email.

You may submit multiple poems throughout the semester. If your poem is selected for publication, the HMS Library will purchase a copy of the book for you to look at, and your family will be given the opportunity to purchase their own copy.

Note - this is a great opportunity to add something special to your resume and/or college applications! Having published writing is a huge accomplishment!
