Titan

The Titan was introduced in 2001 and created by Giovanola. The reason why this ride is so popular is because the ride give an insane adrenaline rush as you go through the twists and turns that lurk in the hyper-coaster.

How Does it Work?

You are put into a cart and pulled up a steep slope, the tallest point on the ride, which is where the most potential energy is. You are then dropped and go through a variety of twists and turn, such as the camel back turn and the two 540 degree helixes, until you are stopped by the braking system.

Dive Bomber Alley

Dive Bomber Alley was introduced in 1996 and was created by Skycoaster LLC. This ride is popular because it is so exhilarating especially when you are at “the top of a 150-foot arch…..with nothing but [the] sky to catch your fall”. How Does it Work?

You are put into a harness and raised up 150 feet into the air (this is where the most potential energy is) and then you are "dropped" (kinetic energy is shown here) and swing back and forth until eventually inertia and friction stops you. This ride is comparable to a pendulum because the pendulum swings back and forth until it eventually stops.

Conquistador

The Conquistador was created by Intamin A.G. in 1981. This ride is popular because it is family friendly. This ride is family friendly because it gives it is fun without giving you a sickening feeling. Link to video -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_oKxg42Q14

How Does it Work?

You start off by going slow and then as the ride continues you go faster and also higher (when you are at the top potential energy is shown). After a while the ride begins to slow down until it is eventually stopped by gravity/inertia.

Bumper Cars

Bumper Cars were introduced in 1921 by Max & Harold Stoehrer of Methuen. This ride is so popular because it is a competitive game that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Link to video -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_dDSfa0FcA

How Does it Work?

Once you are in the bumper car "arena", the workers will turn on the electric floor and you can bump away. Newton 1st Law of Motion applies to this because you will go straight until another car bumps you or you hit the wall. Once you are hit your velocity changes.
