Chad P. Dermyer Memorial Soccer Field Dedication

We would like to personally invite our community to a very special event taking place on Saturday, October 7th at 1 PM. On this day, we will dedicate our soccer field in memory of Chad P. Dermyer, Columbia Central Alumni, who lost his life in the line of duty as a Virginia State Police Trooper. We are honored to name our soccer field after a heroic young man who will remain a role model in our community for years to come. There will be an alumni soccer game after the dedication. The Columbia Township Fire and Police Department, along with the Brooklyn Irish Hills Chamber of Commerce, will assist us with the event. Please plan to attend this special ceremony.

Local veterans to be honored at the Onsted vs. Columbia Central varsity football game this Friday evening.

Onsted High School is inviting local veterans from the Columbia community to be honored at the varsity football game Friday evening. T-shirts are being sold for the event. All proceeds will go to the Wounded Warriors program. Veterans who are able to attend will have their names read and be recognized on the field before the start of the game. Please email the name, rank, and military branch of any veterans who are able to participate to Josh Kubiak by Wednesday, September, 27th. The email contact is below. Veterans will meet in the Onsted end zone area at 6:35 PM on Friday, September 29th.

School groups, businesses, and other organizations are invited to participate by hosting a trunk. There is no cost for sponsoring a trunk. We ask that you provide your own candy; we are estimating approximately 2,000 children. Set up for trunks will be available from 2:30-3:15 PM.
