Thank you families for continuing to bring your children to Hoover daily and on time! State testing continues this week and then we will continue with make ups until May 27th. Please continue to ensure that your child gets a good breakfast, gets a good night sleep and get here n time. Students from 3-8 grade are taking the state testing and students in kinder-2nd grade are taking the I-Ready benchmark.

Congratulations to the fifth graders who spent the entire week at Outdoor Ed last week, I was able to visit them at the site and they all had a great time and best of all, they represented Hoover very well.

Our next big field trip is Yosemite for 8th graders, I hope that you already have all the information that is required, but should you have any questions, pls do not hesitate to contact us at 650-482-2408.

Please continue to use these tips

• Take note of the dates for the assessment and bring your children to school daily and on time during those days
• Practice, practice, practice (see the link above for practice questions)
  
• Make sure that your child gets a good night sleep so he/she can do his/her best in the test
• Make sure that your child eats a healthy breakfast, either at home, or choose from the healthy items that we offer at Hoover
  
• Talk to your child about the test, ask him/her how he/she did, express interest and stress the importance of doing a great job on the test, without pressure.
  
• Ask the teacher how the test is going, and how you can help at home

I-Ready

Students in Kinder, first and second grade continue to take the I-Ready assessment, so it is also very important that those students be here daily and on time.
