Kelly Creek Elementary School

Principal's Message - October 2021

Dear Kelly Creek Elementary School Community,

Fall is in the air and the school year is well underway! Students and staff are extremely happy to get back in the swing of 5 full days of instruction. It is my hope that we stay this way throughout the year. So far, we have only quarantined a hand full of students, which tells me that the safety measures we are taking at Kelly Creek are working!

It has really been amazing seeing all of our students in school, as I still wasn't able to meet most of them in person last year. I must say, I adore the students at Kelly Creek, they are polite, kind, and caring little humans! It warms my heart and solidifies the fact that I am one lucky Principal to be part of such an amazing community!

If you haven't had the chance to view our Virtual Open House, I urge you to take a look! We look forward to finding more ways to connect with our community throughout the year.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, I can be reached via email at or via phone at 503.663.7483.

PTC News

The Penny War was a hit! It was so cool to have the school (and competitive) spirit come out in the halls of Kelly Creek. The grade that took home the win was 4th grade with over 30,000 points - great job, guys! Overall, the school raised $2,130.66 to go towards the electronic reader board. We still have a ways to go, but we made a good dent with this event and had fun doing it. Special thanks to the families and friends of the Kelly Creek community for supporting the kids in this fundraiser – the kids had a blast.

Kelly Creek Safety Measures

Kelly Creek Elementary School takes the health and safety of all students, staff, and stakeholders. The 2021 - 2022 school year is no exception. You can read more detailed information by reviewing our updated KCES Return to Learn Plan.

Some important things to highlight:

  • Masks must be worn by all staff and students throughout the entire day, the only exceptions are during times when students are eating or drinking.
  • Students and staff will try and stay 3 feet apart to social distance whenever feasible.
  • Visitors and volunteers will be limited until further notice.

Thank you all for your understanding as we are doing what is necessary to keep children and faculty healthy.
