The Life Cycle of a Frog

Follow the development from the egg to the adult.

Frogs are amphibians. These creatures can move from water to land and back again during their lives.

Different species take different times to develop from eggs to frogs. Sometimes, environmental factors influence this time. Air and water temperature is one influence. The warmer the temperature, the quicker the process of development. The amount of available water is also important. Tadpoles need at least 20 litres of water each to be able to develop comfortably.

Croaking frogs.

As well as being amazingly colourful, frogs also make very different sounds. Listen to some of the sounds that you might be lucky enough to hear out in the bush or in your garden. It's not the usual croak or ribbit, is it?
