WINTER CONFERENCES
Conferences are an important time to collaborate with your child's teacher(s) about academic progress, celebrations, concerns, or other topics that are worth discussing. We want all families to sign-up for a time slot. *One 20-minute time slot per student/per teacher. We are unable to accommodate two conferences for a student, one for mom and one for dad. Please plan accordingly.
Winter Conferences will be held Tuesday, February 21st, and Thursday, February 23rd, from 4 - 8 pm, and there are also a few limited morning slots available on Wednesday, February 22nd and Thursday, February 23rd. The schedule is now open for parents, sign up early, as time slots do fill up quickly.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
Our annual Scholastic Book Fair will take place in the Media Center during winter conferences. The students will have a chance to preview the book fair with their teachers, but actually purchasing books will only happen during conferences, please do not send money to school with your child. The book fair will also be open for purchases online as well. Stay tuned for more information.
I LOVE TO READ MONTH
February is I Love to Read Month, and Sand Creek will continue its tradition of filling the month with fun activities surrounding books and the love of literacy. We know our Stars love to read, close to 300 students participated in the Winter Break Reading Challenge, and enjoyed hot chocolate & marshmallows with Mr. A and other staff. Students had a sweet, chocolatey blast!
SAND CREEK IS HIRING
There is one remaining position to fill at Sand Creek, a 6.5 hour (full time w/benefits) paraeducator position working with the Stars in our special education program. If interested, it is Job ID #13637 on the Anoka-Hennepin Employment Page. The hours are 8:45 until 3:45, daily.
VOLUNTEER CORNER
Please visit the links below to learn more about volunteering at Sand Creek and to submit an application to volunteer at school if/when the need arises this year. You can complete this now to avoid any delays in processing your application.
LOST BUT NOT YET FOUND
Our Lost and Found is now located just outside the main office, inside Door #1. It is bursting with unclaimed items which will be donated very soon if not claimed.
