Hello from the Counselors!
This month we want to remind you that you do not have to do life alone. There are a variety of community resources available to support your family and we are also here for you! Check the link below and send us an email or give us a phone call if you have questions or we can help in any way:

Pennies for Patients
As we move into April, we are excited to be kicking off Pennies for Patients for the 3rd year! Pennies for Patients is a program raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of North Texas. Here is a link to the video https://youtu.be/8PluE1SoNmw
that was on the Pony News Network. The program will run for two weeks and each student will have a box to collect as much change as possible. The video talks about the online fundraising, we are NOT doing that...just the change for us! Classes will turn in their money weekly and if our school brings in over $750 total, the class that raises the most will win a Domino’s pizza party! In 1964, the 5-year survival rate for children with leukemia was 3%...now it’s 90% thanks to life saving research funded by initiatives like this! The money collected from inside couch cushions, bottoms of purses, and underneath car seats can help little girls like Mrs.Norton’s niece, 10-year-old Hollace, to never hear the dreaded words, ‘you have cancer’ again!
LVES POR Parent Letter promotional years 2021
Dear Parent or Guardian,
The Texas Education Agency requires us to maintain current proof of residency for all enrolled students. This is requested when your child first enrolls with LISD and again their PK4, 5th, and 8th grade years as they transition to new campuses.
The only allowable proof of residency is a current gas, water, or electric bill in the name of one of the student’s parents or legal guardians. We understand that families can experience a variety of events that affect their living situation and we can work with you on a solution that meets the documentation requirements.
This process can be completed electronically. Simply scan an original bill or take a clear picture of the bill and upload it to this link - (HERE) https://bit.ly/3wH8cdd
All required proof of residency documents must be provided by May 1. If this documentation is not received, your child's enrollment cannot be continued at the next campus or grade level. If you prefer, you may also deliver the bill directly to our front office.
If you are unable to provide this documentation by May 1 due to extenuating circumstances, please contact the campus registrar or your child's counselor to discuss the situation.
Please contact Danielle Ramage at 972-350-1714 if you have any questions or if we can be of any assistance.
Sincerely,
Lakshmi Valdes

A big shoutout to Valley Creek Church for creating a new outdoor learning area for our students during Serve the City. Our students are loving learning about what is growing in the garden!

No outside lunch may be brought into the school.
No cupcakes may be brought in for birthday parties.
We regret these procedures; however, safety is our primary concern.
