why you should wait till 21

Teen Car Accidents

  • Leading cause of death in teens 15 to 20
  • About 1/4 of fatal teen car accidents involved underage drinking & driving
  • 8 teens on average loose their life a day
  • In 2013, 2,524 teens were killed and 234,243 were treated in emergency care after motor vehicle accidents

Big Obstacles Teens are Already Facing

  • Stress from high school & worrying about college
(Grades, GPA, SAT, and ACT)

  • Going to parties
(invites & expectations)

  • Peer pressure to drink & do drugs
( friends making them think its okay)

  • Constantly surrounded in a Tech. world
(Phone, computer, T.V, etc.)

Older is Truly better

In a simulation taken in 2013...

  • Older drivers outscored their younger counterparts

  • Women did better than men

  • More mistakes were made with multiple passengers in the vehicle

Waiting for the Wrong Reasons

Many teens are only waiting on the soul reasons that they haven't had time to take the test, don't have a car, nor have enough money to use for gas.

In Conclusion

I think that our generation of teens in the modern, updated world are to focused on other things, and not physically nor mentally ready to be behind the wheel with their and sometimes others lives on line.
