October News

Letter from the Superintendent

Dear Bellmawr Learning Community,

I’m ready for carving pumpkins, beautiful fall colors, pumpkin bread, crisp cool weather and of course Halloween candy!

Wow can you believe that the first month of school has passed and we are halfway through marking period one! I certainly can’t as the time is just flying by. We had a very successful school opening. Our focus on the social emotional well being of every member of our community has been and will continue to be our focus. Teachers spent time creating activities that helped them learn about their students and having the student get to know not only one another but also their teachers. Many classes participated in rock painting providing a visual representation of spiritual messages that can help guide them through the year.

Fall is finally in the air and with it comes the month of October which brings many fulfilled activities:

  • · Fire prevention month,
  • · Respect Week (7th-11th ),
  • · Violence Awareness Week (15th – 19th)
  • · Spirit Week (21-25) Bell Oaks
  • · Red Ribbon week (23rd-31st )
  • · 10-10-19 PTO Family Night at Burke 6:30
  • · 10-14-19 Columbus Day no school
  • · 10-18 -19 PTO Halloween dance Bell Oaks School
  • · 10-21 to 10-25 Spirit Week
  • · 10-30-19 No school for students - professional development day for teachers.
