This week is the conclusion of Marking Period 2 marking the 1/2 way point of the 2022-23 school year. As a reminder, starting this morning (1/30) the OnCourse Grade Portal will closed to families for grades to be finalized. The Grade Portal will re-open on Friday, February 3rd at 3:00 PM with all finalized grades / comments. For more information, be sure to check our Course Rotation Schedule found on the LVMS Website.

8th Grade Families - Order your Yearbook Ads Here!

The Yearbook Staff at Long Valley Middle School invites you to make a memorable addition to the 2022-23 Yearbook in the form of a WELL WISHER. Some parents surprise their graduate with this gift. All Ads must be purchased by February 14, 2023. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS will be accepted beyond that submission date. Only one ad per student is allowed. See attached flyer for instructions & more information.

Sponsored by the Long Valley Junior Women's Club, LVMS students will have the opportunity to participate in Animal Therapy Visits. Organized through the company Creature Comforts, students will have an option to experience Pet Therapy through some of our Wellness Cycle classes throughout the remainder of the school year. Students will be able to sign up (if they choose) to participate in this program to have the opportunity of visiting with certified professionals and therapy animals to experience Pet Therapy and the many benefits it provides.

Due to accommodating small groups for each visit, visits will only be attended by certain classes each time. By the end of the year, all students will be provided with this opportunity through their Wellness Classes.

The National Junior Honors Society will be sponsoring the following events:

Flowers for Friends: 2/1 - 2/13

Students can purchase carnations for $1.00 and write a message to be sent to a friend at LVMS. Forms will be found in Homerooms. Flowers will be delivered on 2/14/23.

7th and 8th Grade Semi-Formal Dance: 2/10 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM

When: Friday, February 10th from 7:00 - 9:00 PM

Where: LVMS

Who: All 7th / 8th Grade LVMS Students

Tickets: $10 per person sold during lunches starting 2/6 (also sold at the door)

Other: There will be snacks and drinks available

Annual Staff vs. Student Basketball Game: 3/3 from 3:30 - 5:00 PM

When: Friday, March 3rd from 3:30 - 5:00 PM

Who: All LVMS Students

Tickets: $5 per person sold during lunches starting 2/28 (NO TICKETS SOLD AT THE DOOR)

Other: There will be snacks and a 1/2 time raffle
