Crosby Scholars Requirements

  1. Attend one Crosby Scholar Academy each school year.
  2. Volunteer a minimum of 2 hours for an organization of your choice and submit a Community Service Form by March 15th.
  3. No out-of-school suspensions allowed.

What happens at Crosby Scholars Academy?

Register to attend 1 of these 3 dates

Held at Catawba College in Ketner Hall, Tom C. Smith Auditorium, located at 2394 Yost Street, Salisbury, NC 28144. Simply follow the Crosby Scholars yard signs on campus when you arrive! Check-in will begin 30 minutes before the event starts.

  • Saturday, February 11 -10:00am - 12:00pm
  • Saturday, February 18 - 10:00am - 12:00pm
  • Saturday, February 25 - 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Optional transportation assistance to Academy

Need a ride? We offer bus transportation from these locations on the dates listed below:

On 2/11: from West Rowan High School. Meet the bus at WRHS by 9am. The bus will drop-off after around noon.

On 2/18: from Jesse Carson High School and East Rowan High School. Meet the bus at JCHS by 8:40am or ERHS by 9:00am. The bus will drop-off after around 12:15.

On 2/25: from North Rowan High School. Meet the bus at NRHS by 1:15pm. The bus will drop-off after around 4:15pm.


By allowing you student(s) to attend the Crosby Scholars Academy, you are agreeing to the terms of the Parent Partnership Agreement. This agreement will remain in effect for the duration of your student's participation in the program. Once your student attends Academy, the agreement is in effect until the student withdraws from the program, either voluntarily or by not fulfilling program requirements. Should you not agree with these terms, contact Jennifer Canipe, Executive Director, before allowing your student to attend.

Crosby Scholars Rowan

Crosby Scholars is a non-profit organization dedicated to offering free help to students in public middle and high schools in Rowan County to prepare academically, personally, and financially for college admission and other post-secondary opportunities best suited to a student's needs, aptitudes and dreams.
