Spring is here and it is time to prepare for our annual Field Day events. This year’s Field Day will be Friday, May 3rd for all grade levels. We need your help to make this Field Day a success! We will need volunteers to help with the field events and some special indoor activities. We are truly looking forward to a great day of fun on the field and in the sun. Hope to see you there!

News from Nurse Monahan
Hopefully, with the increasing days of nice weather, our mustangs are getting outside more to enjoy the sunshine. In addition to stranger danger awareness, this is also a good time to remind them about bike safety, bike helmets and traffic laws.
More sunshine also means more chances of sunburn so don't forget to use sunscreen! Sunscreen is considered a medication so please do not send children to school with sunscreen. Teachers cannot apply it so it is best to apply it in the morning before school. If your child needs additional coverage during the day a parent must bring it in, sign a permission form and the child must report to the clinic for application.
Being outside also means more exposure to pollen, and levels are always changing. The best way to manage allergy symptoms is to take a daily allergy medication that your doctor can recommend. Washing hands, faces, and glasses after being outside or resting with a cool cloth is the extent of how the clinic can manage allergies at school.
The clinic always welcomes parents to drop off medication that may help alleviate nuisance symptoms that take children out of class. Please go to the clinic website on the Midway homepage to learn more about our medication policy, or contact me by email or phone.
