Welcome to Week 11 of Virtual Learning!
On Friday, June 5, 2020, The Visual and Performing Arts Department has arranged for a Virtual Field trip to the Louvre.
There are a few virtual links included to make the field trip more interactive.
The Louvre Museum is the world's largest art museum and a historic monument in Paris, France. A central landmark of the city, it is located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the city's 1st arrondissement. Students will take a virtual tour of the history of the Louvre starting in the Rotunda. Students will also take a 360-degree virtual tour featuring the Louvre’s Egyptian Antiquities beginning with the Tanis Sphinx. Students can visit Founding Myths: From Hercules to Darth Vader in Petite Galeri and complete a scavenger hunt.

This virtual 360-degree tour begins in the Rotunda which leads to a series of rooms representing the history of the Louvre as a palace and museum. Students can explore the Rotunda and the various artworks.

This virtual 360-degree tour features the Louvre’s Egyptian Antiquities department. It is spread over two levels. At the beginning of the tour the Tanis Sphinx is there to greet us.
Students can visit Egyptian Tombs and artifacts.

Through a 360-degree viewing feature, students will explore the Petite Galerie which is exhibiting “Founding Myths: From Hercules to Darth Vader. Students will also discover how things are displayed in a museum, this includes display cases, labelling, and lighting.
About US
When the school first opened in 2010, it did not have the books, tables, or classrooms necessary for students to be in an adequate learning environment. Even the principal, at the time, had to serve as a lunch aide. Since then, AUL has developed to help students receive the education they deserve. AUL has expanded by opening two new campuses, expecting to provide the opportunity for students to continue to succeed, with graduation and college admission, as two of its goals.
AUL offers an advanced academic track and AP courses.
