The Weeks in Review
The past few weeks in Science we have used our knowledge of the water cycle to fuel our discussions of weather and how it is constantly changing and impacting our lives! We learned about different types of weather tools, what they are used for, as well as what the symbols mean on a weather map. Our students even got to experience what it is like to predict the weather and we will continue to work on our meteorology skills in predicting the future weather for our area and other places in the United States!
In Social Studies, the students have just finished their projects over the Annexation of Texas and will begin to learn about Texas' role in the Civil War.
Open House
If you didn't get a chance to make it, just ask your learner all the new things we are doing with our MacBook Airs. Between Google Classroom and predicting the weather online we have been hard at work with the help of our new technology tools!
Boosterthon!
It's really easy to help out our school, just log onto www.funrun.com to start the process towards helping our school!
Please ask your students for more details on the great incentives, awesome lessons about community, and how you can help our class/grade level be successful for the Fun Run!
iPads are Coming!
A few items to note as far as the iPads go:
Hopefully you received your email that can assist you with the creation of the Apple ID for your student without the use of a credit card. If you did not, please let myself, Mrs. Burton, or Ms. Voltz know so we can resend that information! Secondly, it is vitally important that we have the pink "Learner Information Form" completed and returned to school by April 1st. The sooner the better!
This is going to be a new and exciting time for our learners and being able to have a personal device while at school will do wonders for their time they are with us. We are excitedly preparing for that day, but if you have any questions about the iPads, Apple IDs, the 1:1 process, please do not hesitate to contact us!
