Spanish Class at DHS
DHS Spanish Class
Spanish students learned about El DÃa de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), which is a huge holiday in Mexico (Nov. 1st & 2nd) where families celebrate and remember their loved ones who have died. Students watched a video and answered some questions on the video. They were also able to try "pan de muerto" - bread of the dead - which is a sweet bread much like a Hawaiian roll. And they were also able to try "chapulines" - grasshoppers roasted in chili pepper, lemons, limes, and salt.
