END OF TERM NEWSLETTER
11 April 2022
Dear Parent /Caregivers
I wish to thank you for your amazing support this term. In the past week we have had only four positive COVID-19 cases reported, and over 90% attendance.
Online Whānau Conferences
Thank you to the 85% of our families who attended their whānau conference. If you were unable to attend your conference, please contact your child’s homegroup teacher and arrange a time to meet.
We will wish ‘bon voyage’ to Anna Wallis who is moving to Australia with her family next term. We are proud to have had the opportunity to support Anna through her provisional years in teaching. Haere mai ki te manuhiri, Heidi Humphrey, who will be the teacher of Mānuka 3. Nau mai whakatau mai.
Important Term 2 Information
With the weather getting cooler, students must wear their full school uniform next term - unless it is their Area PE Day, in which case they can wear their PE uniform. Please ensure all items of uniform are clearly named and that your child adheres to our uniform school rules:
Jewellery, (other than a watch and a small plain silver or gold stud in each ear lobe), is not permitted.
Hair longer than shoulder-length must be tied back with a school coloured hair tie or clip. All hair must be secured away from eyes (including fringes).
Altering the natural colour of hair, excessive use of hair gel and extreme hairstyles, eg. braids, beads, rats' tails and dreadlocks are not considered appropriate for school.
Nail varnish and make up is not permitted.
If you are around FCI during the holidays we would really appreciate you keeping an eye out for any undesirable behaviour. Unfortunately we have had some vandalism lately and would very much like to catch the culprits!
Have a safe and happy holiday.
