Peek of the Week 5-9-16

High expectations yields finishing strong!

Principal Message

Team: the year is wrapping up and with a lot of assessment not just for 3-5th, but for primary. Thank you for the team spirit. The next three weeks will go by fast. I cannot appreciate you enough for all you do to keep your expectations high. I am very fortunate to work with such a resilient group. Keep the positive juices flowing. We all need it!

Attendance Matters

As we continue to monitor our attendance, I want to make you aware that we will not be meeting our attendance goal this year. The CPOC committee will be reviewing needs assessment and attendance will be a focus for next year.

Summative this year:

KG: 96.04

1st: 95.74

2nd: 96.85

3rd: 96.97

4th: 97.05

5th: 96.08

As part of the needs assessment, I need for teachers to turn in to me the communication logs for the year and highlight all the contacts that are made regarding attendance issues. This will be useful in setting up strategies for next year. These logs will be part of the check out list before teachers leave for the summer. Thank you.

Last Faculty Meetings for the year! The REAL last one!

If students are failing for the year, they require a GPC. Make sure the next year teacher stays informed of all your efforts with your students. Document and have those conversations.
