ELA
We have begun a new unit on Non-Fiction. Our students are learning about natural disasters. Each student has their own individual book that they have been looking through last week and this week. First, we looked through the books and found out how our text features are helpful tools to better understand the text. Now, we are starting to read our books and learning to take notes on the important information that will also help us understand what we are reading.
We are continuing to use Moby Max as a tool to get us geared up for tests! If your child wants or needs to spend extra time reading, Moby Max is a great resource to use. It has passages and questions that go along to check for comprehension. Reading 20 minutes a night in a book is another great way to help readers get better every day!
Upcoming Dates to Remember:
Jan. 17: ELA EOQ testing
Jan. 18: Math EOQ testing
Jan. 22: Teacher Workday: No School
