Book Dedications . . .
Why dedicate a book to the Titus Library?
- To celebrate a birthday
To honor a family member or friend
To say “thank you” to a teacher
To remember someone special
For your donation of $20, we will order a book for you, place a book plate in the book with your message on it, notify the person in whose honor it was given, and allow your child to be the first to check it out. The dedication form can be found on the Titus web site, and if you have any questions please feel free to contact Mrs. Moore, Titus librarian.
Follow us on Twitter . . .
S.A.C. is going digital. Beginning December 19th, the Student Advisory Committee will be Titus' online voice. Be sure to follow the students on Twitter @TitusSACChat.
Students will be sharing and bragging about the happenings at Titus. This is a great opportunity to further engage our students, families and community. This initiative also provides a safe platform, monitored by teachers, where students can learn and practice digital citizenship.
Titus' New Best Friend . . .
Guest Reporter: Dalton Van Zanten
Last week, we were lucky to have a dog named Hope come and visit Miss Anderson’s class as part of Roxy Readers. Believe it or not, Hope was there to hear us read stories. I am not sure she understood what we were reading, but having her there was great because it helped me and probably everybody else not be afraid to read in front of the class and other people, or even a dog.
I think bringing a dog to our class was a very good idea. It helped everyone in our class to read more fluent and to read louder and not be shy. We all loved Hope and I think she really liked us too, although at first she seemed a little shy because she was not used to our classroom.
I know it may sound weird, but reading to a dog is really fun. It can also make you feel more confident. If you have a dog at home, I recommend you try it.
Home & School Association:
Toys for Tabor . . .THANK YOU!
Once again, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the Titus Community for their extremely generous gift donations benefiting the children of Tabor House! As I dropped off the donations this year, the coordinator for Toys for Tabor shared with me a very special letter sent to them by a family that donates gifts each year. In it, the family explained that as they were paying for their donation purchases at a local store, they told the cashier about Toys for Tabor and how it’s such a wonderful cause to support each year. The cashier became very emotional and explained to this family that the only presents he/she received as a child were through the Toys for Tabor holiday collection drive.
I love this story because it beautifully portrays how a community can make an impact on someone’s life and how everything eventually comes full circle. I’m sure that there are many other children (both young and old) that share this same story. Thank you, again, for your generosity. It is TRULY appreciated.

Thank you for sending in Box Tops last month. For the month of November, we collected 2,887 Box Tops. Congratulations to Mrs. Meehan’s class for sending in the highest number of Box Tops 2 months in a row!

- Miss Anderson’s class is in 1st place
