iPads and Android Tablets

Next semester, with your permission, your child is welcome to bring their iPad/tablet to school. We will be using them to create, learn and research throughout the day. We are hoping this opportunity will help to prepare your child as we look forward to August, 2015 when all H.S.E. K-4 classrooms will be 1:1. Permission slips regarding this opportunity will be sent home with your child on Monday. If your child will be bringing a device to school, that permission slip must be signed and returned. Please let me know if you have any questions! I am asking for the children to start bringing in their device with your permission starting on January 11th.

Family STEAM Night...coming in February!

Get excited and mark your calendars for our first TCE FAMILY S.T.E.A.M. NIGHT on Friday, February 5th from 5:30-7:30pm. STEAM is an educational term to describe real world opportunities for students to learn with science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. At the TCE FAMILY STEAM NIGHT, TCE students and their family members of all ages are welcome to come and participate in a variety of unique, educational STEAM experiences. Participants will travel as a family (children with their adults) to share in the learning process! Pizza will be available in the cafeteria for families to purchase. More details will be forthcoming! We hope you plan to be there!

High 5 behavior

After break, we will review our High 5 behavior. The last few weeks many students have struggled with self control, safety, and respect for others. We will be reviewing these and reminders will be given if we are not making appropriate choices. Please help me to remind your child that it is very important to follow through with the High 5 to ensure we are all learning and safe. Thank you!

We are scheduled to take our mid-year NWEA assessment when we return from Winter Break. NWEA is used as a tool to measure student growth and help guide instruction for your child.
