2022/23 Is Officially Underway!


Dear Franklin Families,

Thank you to all our Falcon families for making it such a great start to the year. Your cooperation and support have meant that arrival and dismissal have gone incredibly smoothly for the beginning of the year. Your positive, upbeat attitudes have set the tone for a wonderful year ahead. And your students have settled in quickly, and are lighting up the campus with their smiles and laughter.

Desperately Seeking Noon Supervisors and Lunchtime Volunteers!

We have two open positions for Noon Supervisors - if you are interested in applying for the job we'd love to welcome you to the team. Reach out to Mrs. L, or our HR department at the District Office.

If you can't commit to the paid position, we'd also love your help on a volunteer basis. Please reach out to Mrs. L to let us know when you can help out (lunchtime volunteers do have to fulfill our volunteer requirements, scroll to the end of the newsletter for details).

BCE Fall Drive Is Underway

Please join fellow parents and Give during the BCE Fall Drive to support your school! Your investment helps fund teacher salaries and critical programs to ensure your student has every opportunity for a bright future.

Families that contribute any amount receive a Fall Drive lawn sign (while supplies last) to join the community in a show of support for our schools.

Win Tickets to a Summer Party at Behan’s

Sign-up for BCE monthly giving by August 24 and your name will be entered into a prize drawing for two tickets to “Last Call for Fall,” a party and live concert by Burlingame-dad-band Mid Life Crisis at Behan’s in Burlingame on August 27. The winners will enjoy appetizers, desserts and cocktails while dancing the night away to tunes of U2, the White Stripes, Tom Petty, and more! A $260 value!

Save the Date for BCE’s Annual Fundraising Gala and Live Auction - November 5

We’re excited to announce that the BCE Annual Fundraising Gala has moved to the fall and will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the exquisite Domenico Winery in San Carlos. We are currently seeking Live Auction items and volunteers.

Welcome back to the 22/23 School Year!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for coffee on the first morning of school. It was great to see so many family members, and we got a good start signing up volunteers for the year.

Get Involved

We do have two positions still open on our PTA Board - Memberships Coordinator and Recording Secretary. Please consider taking on one of these important roles. Participating in the life of your child's school is rewarding and beneficial. Contact for more details.

We are also actively looking for volunteers to help us plan, organize and run our events through the year, and actively seeking donations for various events we want to plan for this year. Please visit our website to find out more.

First General PTA Meeting 9/28/22
Our first PTA General meeting will be on Wednesday, September 28th, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. We will hold the meeting in the MPR, and will also broadcast via Zoom for people who cannot make it in person.
