Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Here is little snippet of what FAFSA is and why it's so important. If you have further questions, stop by the counseling office. We would love to help out!
Who should file a FAFSA? Anyone who plans to attend college should file a FAFSA.
What is the FAFSA form? The FAFSA form is an application filed by the student to help the student gain access to grants, scholarships, and student loans.
When should I file my FAFSA? As soon as possible after the form opens. The form will open in December this year and counselors will connect with Seniors via email when the form is open!
Where can I find the FAFSA form? On the Student Aid website.

Scholarships
Scholarships can be daunting sometimes but Mrs. Harsh makes that a tad easier by posting scholarship information to our High School Counseling Page! (Please remember that most scholarship applications are not posted/available until closer to second semester!)

If you have additional scholarship questions, feel free to ask someone in the counseling office.
Mrs. Harsh and Mrs. Mann are great resources to help with scholarship questions. Your high school counselor is also more than willing to help with any questions/concerns you may have.

A Note from Dr. Patricia Tice
Greetings, ADM parents and families,
I hope your autumn season is off to a good start. As the College & Career Transition Counselor from DMACC serving ADM High School, my focus is on the next steps of your high schooler’s journey following high school. We want every senior to follow their individual dreams to a productive, healthy future. Navigating the application process, exploring skilled trades, apprenticeships, financial aid, information is available for all.
UPCOMING TRIP: MidAmerican Energy Explore A Career Day will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023. The MidAmerican Energy facility is located on Hwy. 6, which is not far from ADM High School. This is a trip where students can explore the different positions at MidAmerican Energy, as well as learning more about apprenticeships and positions available. ADM has eight spots reserved for this trip. We currently have two remaining spots for ADM students. If your student would like to attend, please email me. First come, first served. Seniors get priority.
We are now in the first trimester of college/trade school/apprenticeship applications. Has your senior applied? Now’s the time. Classes fill up quickly (for Fall 2024). Applying early gives better access to housing and scholarships. Our ADM Class of 2024 is 25% larger than last year’s class. We have 165 students in the senior class.
I’m currently in the middle of the ‘Senior Blitz’. The Senior Blitz is where I meet face-to-face with each senior to begin planning for next steps. Ask your senior if they’ve met with me. If not, encourage them to reach out to me. Is your student interested in trying out a college class? DMACC online classes are available to ADM students in all areas. College credit can be earned with no tuition payment if the student is in high school. Have your student see their counselor, Mrs. Rebel or Mrs. Gill-Carreon, to determine if a college class will fit into their spring schedule. Stop by for a visit or call/email for an appointment. My ADM days are Mondays and Wednesdays each week.
Let’s make dreams come true. Together.
With kind regards,
Dr. Patricia Tice
