4th Grade News
Week of December 1st
Christmas Party
The Christmas party will take place on December 18th at around 10:15 a.m. Dismissal will follow the conclusion of the party. Please be on the lookout for an important email from our room mothers regarding the party. Due to a new school policy, we will no longer be able to bring homemade goods to school for a party or snack. Food must be store bought, nut free, and made in a factory that does NOT process nuts. A letter from the school will be going out to parents within the next few days. This will change things for the 18th so please read the room mothers' email. As a homework assignment we are asking that the students bring in a recipe from their assigned country by Monday.
Oral Book Reports
Oral Book Reports are due and will be presented on December 10th. Please make sure you are practicing with your child and timing their presentations at home. This is a big part of their reading grade this trimester. We will not accept late reports as they have had plenty of time to work on these.
Grandparents' Day
On Tuesday, December 8th we will be celebrating Grandparents' Day. All invites have been sent out. If your special guest has not received their invite please let us know, and we will send an invite home with your child to give them. Students in Pre-K - 4th grade are to wear their dress uniform OR dress up clothes.
Book Fair
Our Book Fair is next week in the Forum - Monday, December 7th - Thursday, December 10th. On Family Night, Wednesday, December 9th, we will stay open until 7:00 p.m. with music and fun! Do your holiday shopping with a percentage of sales going to support our library. Please accompany your child during the time his or her class is scheduled to shop. The class visitation schedule is posted on our website. The lower and middle school classes that have the best parent volunteer participation will win a free dress down day! If you can help, please email Kathy Wink at kwink3@gmail.com.
The Book Fair hours are as follows:
- Monday, December 7th - 7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, December 8th - 7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Cold Weather
