News and Updates from FSMA
Communication...Report Cards
You will receive a mid-year report that will include student growth toward grade level Common Core State Standards as well as Lifelong Learning Skills. Teachers have great knowledge of every child's social and academic skills and will communicate that in the form of the report card. Look for it in your child's backpack next Friday. Also, we will be sending home information about how to read and interpret our report card.
"Watch Me Work" Day is also coming again soon...mark your calendars for February 6th! Each individual classroom will send home the times the classroom is open for observation.
The FSMA Family is Growing!
On Friday, Room 17 had a special baby shower for Michelle to celebrate her last day with us for this school year. The children each chose a book from home that was a childhood favorite and presented it to her. The care and purpose they used in choosing their books was very moving.
FSMA welcomed Arthur Kirksey, an experienced educator with a history of great work in other Delaware charter schools. While Michelle will be greatly missed, it is always fun to add a new member to the team.

FSMA at Famous Tim's
On Friday, January 23rd, the FSMA Adult Community will come together to enjoy fun and friendship. For $20, you get all you can eat pizza and "soda"...plus there will be live entertainment from some of our parents.
Here is a fun way to think about it:
The children had their fun night out at Oasis last week.
The grown-ups will have their fun night at Famous Tim's.
Then, we will all come together for the Happy Hearts Celebration on February 6th (more info to come).
