Fall Strings Concert
*Strings students may stay after school before the concert; pizza will be provided. Strings students may wear Halloween costumes - no masks allowed, you must be able to play your instrument in your costume.
Dance Field Trip Monday
Monday, October 28th dancer students will go to Clemson University's Brooks Center at 8:30 am and will return around 2 pm. They will get to see a professional dance company named Ballet Hispano in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. They will be watching the dancers perform choreography from Latino choreographers. The director, Eduardo Vilaro, seeks to challenge stereotypes and provide quality arts education.
Project Challenge Playhouse's Bye Bye Birdie
Go see the musical comedy Bye Bye Birdie at Project Challenge Playhouse! Show times are Saturday, October 26th at 7:00 pm and Sunday, October 27th at 3:00 pm. Tickets are $8 and the seating is first come first serve.

Southwood Academy 6th - 8th grade students may audition! Open to other District 5 students 8-12 grades To audition, prepare 16-32 bars/measures of a song (preferably from a Broadway Show). Wear comfortable clothing as you will have to dance.

You Day
You day is all about showing who you are! Some people dress up in a hoodie and bring a guitar, and some bring makeup and dress up. You can express yourself however you want. However you cannot bring any weapons or anything that is not school appropriate. It is Wednesday October 30th, and pictures will be taken during your arts class.

Halloween Survey Results
According to last week's Halloween survey, 80.4% of people who responded dress up and go trick or treating! The most liked costumes are foods such as avocados, milkshakes, or cookies. The favorite Halloween movie is Hocus Pocus, and Halloween was the runner up.
