Assistant Headteacher - Mrs S Humphreys
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we approach the end of this exciting half term, we wanted to express our gratitude for your unwavering support throughout the last 7 weeks. It has been a period filled with learning, growth, and memorable moments for our pupils, and we are thrilled to share the latest updates with you.
Celebrating Academic Success
This week it has been shared that Carleton Park is again in the top 1% of schools in England for our academic achievements at KS2 in a number of key assessment areas. We are extremely proud to announce that for progress in Reading & Writing we are in the 100th centile and for the percentage of pupils achieving the expected standard in Reading & Maths we are also in the 100th centile – meaning that we have equalled the results with the top primary schools in the country!
Open Evening – Tuesday, October 24, 2023 (5:00pm - 6:30pm)
We are excited to invite prospective parents of Reception aged children for September 2024 to our upcoming Open Evening. This event is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our wonderful school to new families, and we are very much looking forward to it. The evening promises to be both informative and inspiring, and we encourage you to spread the word to potential new members of our school community.
Our Year 5 & 6 pupil leaders, who will be in attendance at the evening, have been exemplary in their dedication and preparation for this event. They truly embody the spirit and values of our school, and we have every confidence that they will represent us brilliantly.
Halloween Disco
The excitement is building as we approach the end of the term, and one of the highlights is our annual 'Halloween Disco.' The event has been meticulously organized and will be supported by our fantastic parent council. It's sure to be a spooktacular evening of fun and laughter for our pupils, and we appreciate the dedication of our parent council members who help make it all possible.
International Dance Performance in Disneyland Paris
We want to wish a huge "good luck" to a number of Carleton Park pupils who are taking part in an International dance performance this weekend in Disneyland Paris. Your dedication, talent, and hard work have brought you to this exciting opportunity, and we couldn't be prouder of you. We are rooting for your success, and we know you'll do us proud.
We look forward to seeing you on Monday for the exciting final week of the term.
Thank you once again for your continued support in making Carleton Park a remarkable place of learning and growth.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
Warm regards,
Mr Ayre
