News from this week
Dear Parents,
I will send home Friday Folders today, but I won't put in a grade for behavior or homework since we were in school only 2 days this week.
Thank you for participating in the 'Digital Learning' days this past week. It was definitely a learning experience for us all and most of the students did a great job. If your child did not do any assignments on one of the days, you will receive or you have already received an email from me to let you know. I will also be letting students know if they are missing any assignments and I will give them a paper copy to complete in class if needed. If you know your child is missing some assignments, have them do it over the weekend. I am hoping that my instructions were clear and that you didn't have any issues after that first day. I am sure there will be a survey coming out for you soon, but if there is anything that I could have done to make the days go smoother, please let me know. This is new to all of us. Since the assignments were similar to what we would have done in class, it allows us to move forward. The math assignment from yesterday reviewed for the math daily grade students took today. We reviewed for SS and will have our 'New Nations' test on Monday.
The Friends and Family Lunch is coming up on Monday February 12th. Our lunch time will be from 10:35-11:05 on this day. We will be eating at tables 3 & 4. This is always a really fun event! So that other classes may enjoy their family time as well, we will be eating in our classrooms on Wednesday February 7th and Wednesday February 14th.
The Gwin Oaks PTA is hosting a Valentine's Sweetheart Dance for Gwin Oaks girls in grades K-5 and an adult escort of their choice. The dance will be held on Friday, February 16th, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Brookwood H.S. Commons. Join us for an evening of music, fun, and sweet refreshments.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are $14 per couple and $7 per additional sibling. There are a limited number of tickets available. Please visit MyPaymentsPlus by Wednesday, January 31st to reserve your spot.
Math Morning help will be held on Tuesday morning once again this week. It will start at 7:15 am as usual. Please do not drop your child off early.
Please read the important message from Ms. Pugh regarding counseling lessons that the students had last week.
