Dear Chesterbrook Academy Elementary Families,
Wow! What a week! Let us begin by thanking all of our families for your incredible support and participation in our school events and activities! We truly value your partnership!
It's Black History Month, and at CBA, our 5th grade leading lions are spotlighting notable African Americans who have made an impact on our lives and the lives of others! Each morning, students share information about authors, activists, inventors, artists, athletes, scientists, and more!
It was World Read Aloud Day on February 7th, and we celebrated all week long with guest readers! What better way to show the love of reading, than with our families. Thank you for joining us on one of our favorite days of the year!
We were out and about on two field trips this week! 4th & 5th Grade students explored The Lancaster Science Factory. They participated in a morning of hands-on exploration and robotics! 2nd Grade students visited the Delaware Children's Museum along with Mr. McCall. They learned all about happy & healthy minds and bodies!
Our 2nd Annual Spanish Food Truck Festival showcased a fusion of culture and business cleverness, featuring authentic Spanish menus, hand-drawn business logos, savvy marketing strategies, and the entrepreneurial spirit of our 3rd-5th grade students. Each truck was displayed along with their menus and a sampling of their finest cuisine. We left the even feeling very, very full! Well done!
Penny Wars got super competitive, with many students trying to decide between hearing Mr. Alaxson sing Taylor Swift and seeing Ms. Benson kiss a frog! Eek! Thank you to all of our teachers who committed to participating and may the best, or worst, activity win! The winner will be announced at tonight's BINGO night! We hope to see you there!
Congratulations to Pre-K on a wildly successful Souper Bowl canned food drive. They were able to collect over 900 cans to donate to the Chester County Food Bank! The competition between Learning Buddies was steep! In the end, Ms. Flanagan and Ms. Benson took the lead with 315 cans! They will celebrate with a pajama day on Monday! Thank you for your support!
On Friday, we officially marked the 100th day of school. Many of our Pre-K students walked through the doors looking a little older, adorned with wrinkles, canes and glasses! Kindergarten students showcased their mathematics skills, donning 100th day t-shirts complete with 100 individual items! What a fun way to celebrate this milestone day!
Please join us in congratulating Clara G., 4th Grade, who represented CBA at the Chester County Intermediate Unit Spelling Bee! Clara was one of 44 students who attended. She made it all the way to the finals of the event and we are incredibly proud of her!

🕶️ Summer Camp at CBA ☀️
Join us for School-Age Summer Camp
At our summer camps, we measure time not in minutes but in moments. Like the moment your child jumps for joy when scoring their first goal. The look on their face when the rocket they built actually launches. The thrill of performing on a stage, solving a math challenge, or creating digital art. Epic moments like these happen all summer long at our day camps, sports camps, specialty camps, and academic camps. This is the place where epic moments happen!
We require all students to wear a school uniform unless otherwise directed.
- Daily Uniform: Girls and boys should wear a green or blue polo shirt with khaki shorts/pants/skirt.
- PE Uniform: PE t-shirt and mesh shorts or sweatpants with sneakers are required on PE days.
- Shoes & Socks: On Daily Uniform days, students must wear brown shoes with white, green or blue socks. Students should wear sneakers on PE days.
**Please note, students should not wear Ugg boots to school**
