We had a Great Week!

We had a very busy and successful week. It started Monday morning when we found out two of our trees had fallen due to the high winds. Jerry and Daniel worked their magic and we had someone from the district helping us out in no time. They cut our trees and made sure to secure the lumber for us. They were great!

That same Monday, Ms. S-c, Ms. Tina Tom, Mr. Frank Tarantino, our board president, 35 students, and I drove to Qualcomm's Thinkabit Lab. The staff at Qualcomm greeted us with a great smile. Our students had a great lesson, experienced programming, and made us all very proud. They displayed great manners and passion to create and learn about engineering.

On Thursday, Ms. S-C took five of our 8th grade students to the district's Science Fair at Otay Ranch High School. In all, our five students, Daniel Topete, Vanessa Tapia, Kassandra Vogel, Michelle Fox, and Natalie Ramirez were awarded a "First Place" for their projects. This is a tremendous achievement by our Cavalier students! We want to thank Ms. Fee and Ms. S-C for their hard work. The students would not have been able to make it to the district fair if it were not for their support!

Attendance Matters

CVM continues to grow in attendance. Our numbers are steady but I know we can continue to improve.

We were audited on Friday and Alicia did an amazing job. Some reminders from our auditors:

Please continue to take attendance. I know that Alicia does not like to send reminders to teachers who have not submitted attendance but remember that this is the law. When she gets audited reports are expected to show that teachers have submitted daily attendance.

If you make a mistake, please make sure to submit the attendance change forms to Alicia as soon as possible (please see picture below).

Thank you Cavaliers for helping us with this task!
